Your safety is our priority at FLÖ. We test the lake's water quality monthly, monitor temperature, pH, and other factors to ensure a safe and clean swimming experience.

Lifeguards and trained staff are always on hand during swim sessions, providing extra care during the colder months.

  • Yes, all sessions must be booked in advance to ensure availability. You can book through our website and members should use their unique code when booking sauna sessions or other activities.

  • Arrive 10 minutes before your start time, our team will guide you, but it’s helpful to know:

    • Changing rooms, showers, and toilets are located back up the track

    • Belongings can be left in the changing rooms or in the cubbies beside the tubs

    • Hydration stations are available in each spa area

    • If you’d like to purchase drinks, please bring a payment method down with you

    • A lifeguard is stationed on the jetty — please let the team know about any medical conditions or medication

    • We ask guests not to move straight from cold water into hot water. Please warm up naturally or in the sauna first

    • Towels should be taken down to the sauna

    • A hot shower is required before heading down to the spa area

    Our hot tub hosts will show you which tubs are available for your session.

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your start time. For sauna sessions, please note:

    • Changing rooms, showers, and toilets are located back up the track

    • Belongings can be left in the changing rooms or under the covered area near the sauna

    • There’s a hydration station by the sauna

    • If you’d like to purchase drinks, please bring a payment method down and order with a team member

    • A lifeguard is stationed on the jetty — please share any relevant medical information

    • Please remember to take a towel down with you

  • Yes, we have a large car park located a short walk from the lake and spa facilities.

  • Our cancellation policy is 48 hours for all sessions, unless it’s clearly stated at the time of booking that the session is non-refundable (for example, New Year’s or Solstice sessions).

    Bookings made before 6th February will still be honoured under the previous 24-hour cancellation policy for swim and sauna sessions. 48-hour cancellation policy‍ for hot tub sessions.

    We always honour the policy that was in place when you booked.

  • Yes, our lifeguards and staff are present during all swim sessions to ensure your safety, especially during colder months when conditions require extra care.

  • Yes, we provide:

    • Changing rooms

    • Hot and cold showers

    • Separate toilets cabin near the entrance

  • Yes, FLÖ offers a whole range of drinks, from warming hot teas & coffees to celebratory bottles of Prosecco! 

    The Café at Blackpit serve a delicious selection of food and drinks from 9 AM to 2.30 PM. Swim Club members receive 10% off.

  • Outside food and drink can’t be consumed during sessions or within the spa areas.

    However, guests are very welcome to enjoy their own food and drink at the picnic benches by reception.

  • At FLÖ, we embrace the beauty of nature in all its forms, and most sessions go ahead regardless of the weather. However, for safety reasons, the lake and hot tubs cannot be used during thunder and lightning storms. If this occurs, we’ll entend your stay where possible.

  • Yes, to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, as well as to protect the natural environment, we ask all guests to follow these guidelines:

    • Lake Use: Our lake is a natural habitat, so please avoid using any lotions, oils, or products that could harm the water or wildlife. We ask all swimmers to shower before entering the lake to minimize contaminants.

    • Sauna Use: For the comfort of all guests, we recommend bringing a sauna towel to sit on. Please refrain from applying oils or creams before using the sauna, as these can damage the benches and affect air quality.

    • Hot Tub Use: Do not use the hot tubs if you are feeling unwell, have experienced sickness or diarrhoea in the past 48 hours, or have a contagious skin condition. We maintain strict hygiene standards to ensure a safe and relaxing experience for all guests. If you have any concerns, please speak with a member of our team.

  • Absolutely! Wild swimming is for everyone, but we recommend starting gradually and listening to your body. Our staff are on hand to ensure your safety. Feel free to speak with them for advice or tips on acclimating to cold water.

  • At this time, our facilities are designed for over 18s only.
    Children under 16 are welcome to stay reception-side with an adult, but they are not permitted to enter the spa areas.

    Guests aged 16+ may wait unaccompanied at reception, but still cannot access the spa facilities.

  • Sadly, dogs are not permitted on site.

  • All of our facilities have steps for access, as they are built from shipping containers. Currently, we do not have ramps

    • Hot tubs: 1 step onto the deck and two steps into the tubs. Staff are not trained to assist guests in/out - you must be able to enter and exit independently or with the help of someone in your group

    • Sauna: step onto the outside bench and a small step into the space. Inside is narrow and there are no handrails

    • Lake access: via two sets of steps, each with 8 steps. You must be able to enter and exit the water independently

    • Showers & toilets: both require stepping up to access

    • Please let us know in advance if you or your guests have any accessibility needs or health considerations, and we’ll do our best to support you
